UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS: Anti-Tank Assaultman (0351), Light Armor Vehicle Crewman (0313) (7/82-10/91)
Attained the rank of Sergeant and served honorably in the USMC for nine years in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Honduras, Panama, South Korea and Japan. Billeted as a squad leader, platoon sergeant, vehicle commander, Assistant Guard Chief, vehicle crewman and infantry rifleman. In these positions my leadership skills and determination to see the job done right set my service apart from other Marines. Commanded as few as three Marines and as many as thirty five while assigned as Assistant Guard Chief. Honorably discharged under medical conditions due to exercised induced asthma. Received meritorious promotion to rank of Lance Corporal, 1st Battalion 6th Marines 'Marine of the Quarter' 1985, 1st LAV Battalion 'Non Commissioned Officer of the Quarter' 1988.
