Introduction

Who Are We?

We are the Leavitt family of Glendale, Arizona. We were all born and raised right here in Phoenix. Jen and I were married in Oak Creek Canyon at Don Hoel's Cabins (Sadly they are no longer open) on July 4th, 1997. We love to experience all that life has to offer. Our favorite past times are hanging out with friends, playing pool, soaking in the spa, camping, hiking or heading up to our cabin in Heber, Arizona. Our absolute most favorite thing to do is watch our children grow and learn new things! Lately we've begun to study and learn more about holistic health and homeopathic remedies. We are currently undergoing H2O2 therapy to improve oxigen level in our bodies. One of the key element of good overal health.

Jennifer

Jennifer Currently works for the charity her mother started after when her son Christian joined the Army, Packages From Home. Jen's brother Christian who will soon be returning to Iraq serving with the Army and is always in her thoughts and her heart. Jen's favorite website is IMDB (International Movie Data Base) and just about any time I can't find her I know to look for her at her PC or somewhere with the notebook looking at her site.

Logan

Logan is our son and the oldest of our two children. He has an infectious personality and loves to laugh. He is currently going to pre-school and actually enjoys learning so much his teachers have placed him in the Kinder-prep classes ahead of his time. Logan loves his family and especially his little sister Summer. He is most happy when he can cuddle up with Mom on the couch to watch a good movie.

Summer

Next there is Summer Lynn, most recent addition to the family. She is a fiery RedHead and lives up to the reputation. Shoes are her favorite thing in the whole wide world! In fact if you think you're done getting her dressed and have neglected to put her shoes on you're gonna hear about it, and hear about it loudly! Her favorite hobby is getting into her brothers closet and pulling every toy within her reach out and leaving them on his floor. She has a very curious mind and gets bored very easily, so keeping her occupied is job number one for mom and dad.

Michael

Finally there is McDeavitt I'm Michael Leavitt (not to be confused with the former Gov. of Utah) I'm an avid cycling fan (though not much of a rider any more) and follow most of the races in Europe. I'm a Linux fan and have been using some form of the operating system since 1997 and have now discarded all forms of windows on my PCs. I play (well, kinda) guitar and have a 1984 Gibson Flying 'V'and a 1976 Gibson Mk-35 both of which sound awesome. Since getting out of the Marines back in 1991 I have become keenly aware of the political make up of the US. I grew up in a firmly Conservative Republican family and attended church regularly. However, I tend to have a more liberal perspective now.

We are a Loving Family

Jennifer and I have two very wonderful children who we love very, very much. Both are happy and know rite from wrong. Jenny and I have worked very hard to ensure that our children, first respect themselves then treat others with that same respect. We have employeed as our strongest tool to ensure this behavior, consistency. Consitency in responce so negative behavior, positive feedback for good behavior. Consistenly aknowledging their individuality while striving to mantain a sense of equality between our children.

Our hope is that Logan and Summer will be able to grow up with strong critical thinking skills. Logan is already begining to stand out from other children in his age group. I truly believe that allowing him to work at resolving many of his childhood challenges on his own has given him this advantage. Summer is showing signs of the same type of behaviour, tho a bit more “strong-headed.”
